One of the easiest (and most enjoyable) rooms in the house to shop for furniture-wise is the bedroom. While other rooms in the house can make shopping difficult, bedrooms usually have more or less the same furniture in them, which can help you to get on a more straightforward buying path. Once you decide upon the major items you need, then it\’s time to worry about the details.

First and foremost, you\’ll want to pick out a bed frame. Your bed will likely be the largest piece of furniture in the bedroom, hence becoming the centerpiece. It is much easier to design the rest of the room around the bed than to do it the other way around. Choose the bed that is most to your liking before choosing any other items.

You\’ll also want a dresser to hold clothing. While you may wish to purchase the dresser with the bed as part of a set, you also have the option to freely put the room together on your own, which can lead to an increased sense of fashion in the room. Choose the option you feel most comfortable with.

Every bedroom should have a desk of some kind, whether it be for your work or for a TV. You\’ll also want to put shelving such as a bookshelf somewhere in the room to fill out the space. From here, it is all optional, with night tables and jewelry cabinets falling into this category.
